Proverbs 2:6,10

6 For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. 10 For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul.

Wisdom and knowledge from the Lord are invaluable treasures that surpass any earthly possessions. The source of all wisdom and knowledge is found in the depths of His being. It is through His divine revelation that we gain insight into the mysteries of life and the guidance we need to navigate its challenges. The Lord, in His infinite wisdom, offers us the discernment to differentiate right from wrong, the understanding to make sound decisions, and the insight to live a purposeful and fulfilling life. As we seek Him, His wisdom becomes a guiding light, illuminating our path and granting us the acuity to walk in alignment with His will. May we always yearn for His wisdom, for it is the key that unlocks the door to a life of truth, righteousness, and meaningful existence.

Wisdom, when intertwined with the Lord, unveils a divine perspective that surpasses human understanding. It is a gift from God, freely given to those who seek Him earnestly. Here we find the Hebrew word Chokmah which essentially means knowledge and the application thereof. In other words while knowledge refers to the accumulation of facts, information, and data, wisdom is the ability to discern and apply that knowledge effectively. As we embark on a journey to grow in wisdom, we align our thoughts and actions with the word of the Lord, allowing His truth to guide our decisions. Through prayer and meditation, we open ourselves to the counsel of the Holy Spirit, who imparts wisdom beyond our limited intellect. The Lord grants us discernment not only to distinguish between right and wrong, but to enable us to navigate life's challenges and make choices that honor Him. In seeking wisdom from the Lord, we humbly acknowledge our need for His guidance, embracing His teachings, and applying them to our lives.

Furthermore, wisdom is often thought to reside in the intellect, but it is not limited to the realms of logic and reasoning. True wisdom also resides in the heart. The heart is the seat of emotions, intuition, and a deeper knowing that surpasses mere knowledge. Wisdom of the heart comes from a place of authenticity and connection to one's deepest self. It is an inner compass that guides us towards understanding and discernment. Thus, wisdom is not just acquired through books or education alone, but through a journey of self-reflection, humility, and surrender to a higher power. To cultivate wisdom of the heart, one must listen to the whispers of their soul, embrace vulnerability, and seek divine guidance. It is this fusion of wisdom from the mind and wisdom from the heart that allow us to navigate the complexities of life with grace, compassion, and discernment. In essence, knowledge provides the foundation, while wisdom illuminates the path and directs us towards a life of understanding, compassion, and purpose.

Prayerful Thought: Wisdom reposes in the heart of the discerning and even among fools she lets herself be known. Proverbs 14:33

“Thinking well is wise, planning well is wiser, doing from the heart is the wisest of all. Knowledge is spotting another’s character flaw, wisdom is not mentioning it !”
